City of Keizer
- Public Services
The City of Keizer is located in the center of the beautiful Willamette Valley with Oregon 2nd largest city, Portland, to the north, and the state capitol, Salem, bordering Keizer to the south. We are recognized as the Iris Capital of the World. Oregon's coastline and mountains are located just west and east of Keizer. Keizer's population is greater than 36,760 and is the 14th largest city in Oregon. In the 1990's, the City experienced a rapid amount of new residential building and growth, establishing Keizer as one of the fastest growing cities in Oregon. In spite of our growth, Keizer continues to preserve its small-town pride by supporting many volunteer organizations, and community-wide events, such as the Iris Festival, the Miracle of Christmas lighting display, RIVERfair, concerts in the parks and the Keizer Art Walk. Opening for the first season in 1997, Keizer is home of the Volcanoes, a Minor League baseball team affiliated with the San Francisco Giants.
